優點: 螢幕尺寸大、內建3G、GPS、Wi-Fi，網路功能完整、效能佳 缺點: 未搭載導航軟體、相機沒有補光燈、電力普通、解析度未達VGA、未支援HSDPA 快速導覽: Asus P550是近年來少見的3.5吋PDA手機，大尺寸畫面看起來舒適清楚，加上網路功能完整，功能非常豐富。不過和前款P750一樣未建導航軟體、且3.5吋螢幕沒有VGA解析度是兩個比較可惜的部份。

Google、Outlook行事曆可同步化了

網路行事曆很方便，問題是你在辦公室和家裡用的可能不一樣。現在，你可以用Google新發布的工具，把Google Calendar和微軟Outlook的行事曆整合為一，以便查閱。

Google周三發布Google Calendar Sync程式，讓使用者將家用和辦公室用的行事曆同步化。

這項軟體工具讓你能選擇Google Calendar對Outlook同步化，或Outlook對Google Calendar同步化。你也可設定多久同步化一次。

新軟體安裝容易。安裝後，你會看到Google Calendar選單裡多了Outlook的選項，但反之不然，不知何故。(唐慧文/譯)

Yahoo態度軟化 微軟思索入主下一步

雅虎（Yahoo）抵擋微軟公開併購意圖的態度似乎已經軟化。

3日一早，微軟財務長Chris Liddell對摩根史坦利（Morgan Stanley）科技會議的與會者表示，雅虎尚未正式回應微軟的出價，而該公司也會注意其他的收購目標。

同日，雅虎的董事會投票決定修改公司規定，延後雙方可能的委託書大戰，也讓彼此有更多時間考慮其他的選擇。這顯示雅虎還不願撕破臉，仍想與微軟保持友善的關係。

熟悉內情的消息人士說：「微軟的管理階層將在未來幾天決定如何回應（雅虎的動作），並向董事會報告後續的作法。」他強調，微軟至今仍希望進行一次友善的交易。

消息人士透露，一直到5日，雅虎都還沒有正式回覆微軟的出價。他預期在本週末之前，微軟這一方都不會有任何明顯的動作。而雖然雅虎善意地延長了董事提名期限，微軟早就已經準備好名單，其中包括知名企業的資深管理高層，到具備金融背景的專業人士。

曾參與幾次委託書爭奪戰的律師Stephen Jenkins表示，雖然雅虎決定延長期限且不與微軟正式接觸必須承擔一定的風險，這仍是一個「聰明的舉動」。他說：「微軟需要找齊人選，並在10天前把 名單送到雅虎，這讓雅虎有更多時間不讓微軟的提名人選公開。這是暗示微軟他們願意私下討論。」

隨著 RAM 的價格愈來愈低, 這陣子 Ramdisk 有愈來愈熱門的趨勢, 所謂的 Ramdisk 顧名思義就是將 RAM 虛擬成一顆磁碟機, 藉由 RAM 超快的存取速度來加速程式運行的速率。長久以來我一直使用「Gavotte Ramdisk」這套免費、穩定、好用的 Ramdisk 軟體, 如果你也想利用 Ramdisk 加速系統的運行, 不妨考慮使用它。

一般來說, 要玩 Ramdisk 建議記憶體要大些才好, 這樣才能較明顯的體驗系統效能的改善。以我為例: 我的 PC 裝有 3GB 的 RAM, 我將其中的 1GB 切做 Ramdisk (為什麼切這麼大稍後說明); 而我筆電的 RAM 較少, 只有 1.5GB 因此我僅切了 512MB 的記憶體當做 Ramdisk。

「Gavotte Ramdisk」的使用方式非常簡單, 只要將下載後的檔案解壓縮後, 執行「ramdisk.exe」

先按下「Install Ramdisk」鍵新增一台 Ramdisk, 接著設定磁碟大小及磁碟代號, 媒體類型 (Media Type) 請選擇「Fixed Media」, 因為等下要將 Windows 的虛擬記憶體設過來 (這就是我 PC 切 1GB 給 Ramdisk 的原因)。設定好後按下「OK」, 接著在檔案總管就會看到多出一台磁碟機, Ramdisk 的設定至此完成, 接著就可以開始使用 Ramdisk 啦。

將 Windows 的虛擬記憶體設定到 Ramdisk

有很多人一定會 說:「RAM 那麼大, 直接把虛擬記憶體強制取消就好了, 幹嘛還要這麼費工把虛擬記憶體設到 Ramdisk 上?」其實, 有些軟體不管主機中的 RAM 有多大, 在運作時仍會強制使用虛擬記憶體, 若是將虛擬記憶體強制關閉, 可能會導致這些程式運作不正常, 因此我選擇將虛擬記憶體設定在 Ramdisk 上, 以避免這些程式運作不正常。

Increase maximum database size for mailbox store(Exchange 2003)

The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the CIM_DataFile Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine the following information:

• The full path for the Exchange database files.
  
• The current size of the mailbox store.
  

The Exchange Server Analyzer also queries the Win32_OperatingSystem WMI class to determine additional information:

• The version of the Windows operating system that is running on the Exchange server.
  
• The version of Exchange Server that is installed.
  
• The edition of Exchange Server that is installed.
  
• The service pack level version for Exchange Server.
  

Finally, the Exchange Server Analyzer also reads the following registry entry to determine whether the Database Size in Gb value has been set:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\\Private-

The Exchange Server Best Practices Analyzer displays an error if the following conditions are true:

• The server is running Exchange Server 2003.
  
• The service has Service Pack 2 for Exchange Server 2003 installed.
  
• The Exchange Server database size is larger than 16 gigabytes (GB).
  
• The Database Size in Gb registry value has not been set.
  

This error indicates that the identified Exchange database is close to its size limit. Service Pack 2 for Exchange Server 2003 raises the database storage limits from 16 GB to 75 GB. However, to use the new limits you must manually add the Database Size in Gb registry value on the Exchange Server.

To correct this error by adding the Database Size in Gb registry value

1. On the computer that is running Exchange Server, open a registry editor such as Regedit.exe or RegEdt32.exe.

2. Navigate to: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\\Private-

3. Right-click MailboxStoreGUID, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

4. For the new value name, type Database Size Limit in Gb.

5. Double-click Database Size Limit in Gb. In Value data, type an appropriate value for maximum database size in GB. Click OK.

6. Right-click MailboxStoreGUID, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

7. For the new value name, type Database Size Buffer in Percentage.

8. Double-click Database Size Buffer in Percentage. In Value data, type a value between 1 and 100 to specify when you want events to be logged to warn you that you are nearing the maximum size for a database. Click OK.

9. Right-click MailboxStoreGUID, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

10. For the new name, type Database Size Check Start Time in Hours From Midnight.

11. Double-click Database Size Check Start Time in Hours From Midnight. In Value data, type a value between 0 and 23 to specify when you want Exchange to look at the database size. Click OK.

12 . Close the registry editor.

To install and edit the Group Policy Administrative Template for Windows Firewall, follow these steps:

1. Log on to a computer that is a member of the domain and has Windows XP SP2 installed, with an account that is a member of the Domain Admins, Enterprise Admins or Group Policy Creator Owners security groups.


2. Click Start >Run and type mmc to open a new MMC console.


3. On the File menu, select Add/Remove Snap-in.


4. Click Add and select Group Policy Object Editor from the list.


5. In the Select Group Policy Object dialog box, click Browse.


6. Select the Default Domain Policy
7. In the console tree, navigate to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Network, Network Connections and then Windows Firewall
